In a perfect world a franchisor will provide enough QUALITY training to ensure that its franchisees can operate the business successfully. But, it’s not a perfect world, so a franchisee must do enough investigation BEFORE purchasing to understand the quantity, quality, and relevance of the training offered. Disclosure documents will outline of the franchisor’s training program, and of course, buyers have the right to contact current and past franchisees and discuss the quality of the training. So, what you can expect from the franchisor’s training program is pretty much the balance struck between what is written and what is borne out by those who have preceded you.
