BiTMICRO NETWORKS, Inc., a supplier of high performance solid state flash disk storage solutions, today announced the appointment of William D. Baker as the Chief Financial Officer and VP of Finance

and Administration. Baker's more than 30 years of experience spans all aspects of finance, accounting and business development, including three IPOs, secondary offering, three acquisitions, spinout purchase and takeover.

Before joining BiTMICRO, Baker served as the VP and CFO of The JPM Company, a $170 million international manufacturer of wire harnesses and cable assemblies for the computer, networking and telecommunication industries. During Baker's tenure, JPM grew from $35 million in sales in 1995 to $170 million in fiscal 1999. Along with standard controllership and treasury functions, he successfully managed the multi-plant and international operations. The company successfully went public in April 1996.

From 1993 to 1995, Baker was the VP of Finance and Administration, CFO and Secretary of Racotek, Inc., a wireless software and hardware company. Baker was responsible for driving the company's product support strategy. The company successfully went public in December 1993.

Prior to Racotek, Baker was the VP and CFO of Artisoft, Inc., a $75 million local area network software and hardware company. During his tenure, Business Week listed Artisoft, Inc. as the fastest growing private companies for 3 years in the May 25, 1992 issue. Inc. Magazine also selected Artisoft as one of the 100 Best Small Corporations in 1989, 1990 and 1991 issues.

Under his leadership, Artisoft grew from $6 million annual sales in 1989 to a December 31, 1992 quarter sales of $24 million with $95 million annual rate. In addition, he secured $49 million venture capital to finance global work force and establish manufacturing plants in U.K. and The Netherlands.
