SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 4, 2000

Activate, a majority-owned operating company of CMGI, Inc. (Nasdaq:CMGI), today announced it has signed a formal relationship agreement with Unit.Net, a leading European streaming media company, to provide

streaming media solutions to a global audience.

The two companies will work together to provide streaming media services, including network infrastructure and production facilities, to customers that need to reach global marketplaces. This relationship will also provide the first dedicated global streaming network with the ability to reach markets in North America, Europe and Asia.

Activate and Unit.Net have worked together for almost two years on multiple projects including the World Trade Organization's Third Ministerial Conference, which was broadcast to a worldwide audience in three separate languages. Formalizing this relationship allows both companies to extend their reach and to leverage each other's existing customers, integration of products and services, and networks.

"To fully serve our global customers, we are aligning ourselves with a key streaming media player in the European marketplace," said Jeff Schrock, CEO and co-founder of Activate. "It is fortunate that we were able to formalize our relationship with a company like Unit.Net that has the same vision and commitment to customer satisfaction as Activate."

"The WTO Internet team was fortunate to work with leading companies like Activate and Unit.Net in webcasting the Seattle Ministerial Conference," said Jean-Guy Carrier, head of WTO internet services. "Their patience, flexibility, professionalism and high degree of technical proficiency helped produce a successful broadcast that was enjoyed worldwide."

"In today's Internet economy, customers expect services to be offered on a global scale," said Andrea Cappellari, CEO of Unit.Net. "This relationship with one of the premier streaming media companies today will help us meet this customer demand."
