Industry Veteran Brings More Than 20 Years Experience
and Entrepreneurial Skills to Deliver Resilience's
Patented Fault-Tolerant Technology to the Appliance Market
Resilience Corporation, the Continuous Availability Company, today announced that Michael J. Maulick has been named president and chief executive officer. In this role, Michael will leverage his executive leadership and dual expertise in technology and marketing to capitalize on the accelerating market for continuous uptime.
"Today's enterprise demands nothing less than 100 percent availability for business-critical applications," said Michael J. Maulick, president and CEO of Resilience Corporation. "Our Continuous Availability servers have set the bar on uptime. We are now uniquely positioned to apply this patented technology to the appliance marketplace. I'm excited to join a company that has such excellent technology and market potential and look forward to dominating the rapidly growing markets where availability is essential."
Most recently, Michael was president and CEO of ReleaseNow, a Web infrastructure services provider that builds and hosts customized e-business solutions for the marketing, sale and delivery of digital goods. While Michael was CEO, ReleaseNow was the recipient of the prestigious Codie award for corporate achievement as well as the Editor's Choice award from OutsourcingJournal.com for the best e-business strategy.
Prior to ReleaseNow, Michael held key executive positions at IBM, where his entrepreneurial spirit was ignited. One of his major accomplishments at IBM was the genesis of ADSTAR, an independent intra-company organization that developed and sold storage management software products. ADSTAR's success culminated in its acquisition by Tivoli Systems.
Michael was also credited with developing the strategy IBM referred to internally as the "Growth Initiatives". As the executive responsible for the Americas, he guided the growth segments of IBM's $4 billion high-end server business. He led organizations uniquely deployed to capture emerging markets, including E-Business, ERP, Business Intelligence, and Server Consolidation. Michael's career with IBM began in New York State, where he led development teams to build IBM's future processors.
"Michael has the deep technology experience, sharp business acumen and proven marketing skills necessary to build a strong, sustainable business that maximizes Resilience's industry-leading technology," said Paul White, General Partner of Fremont Ventures. "With his track record for growing businesses, combined with his Wall Street and venture capital relationships, he is highly capable of taking Resilience to a leadership position in the continuous availability market."
To date, Michael has raised $40 million in venture capital to support his business endeavors. His education is comprised of a BSEE from Marquette University, and graduate work at Syracuse University and The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
