Covin, 53, will report to Eric Lane, President and COO of the Men's Wearhouse, Inc. "We are very fortunate to have Ron as our new leader," said Lane. "He has over 35 years of experience in both men's and women's retail and has the skill and expertise to successfully execute our growth plans for K&G."
Covin comes to K&G after serving as president for Off 5th, Saks Fifth Avenue's outlet store division, for seven years. During his tenure, he built the company from four to 51 stores with over $375 million in sales. Prior to that he owned an under-priced junior and young men's chain in northern California called Clothes Out Stores. He also served as the Senior Vice President of Marshall Fields, Chicago.
Ron will be relocating from Westchester, New York to Atlanta, Georgia, headquarters of K&G, for this position.
Founded in 1973, Men's Wearhouse is one of North America's largest specialty retailers of men's tailored business attire. The stores carry a full selection of designer, brand name and private label suits, sport coats, furnishings and accessories. The company also operates the second largest manufacturing facility of men's suits and sport coats in Canada, most of which is used to supply the Moores stores.
