Technology Infrastructure Expert Cites Evolution to
Full-Service Infrastructure Offerings
as Basis for Success, Continued Growth
Forsythe Technology Inc. announced its
In 2000, Forsythe launched two new service provider subsidiaries, expanded its consulting service practice and increased partnerships to support its growing base of 2,500 customers nationwide.
"Our transformation into a full-service infrastructure provider has resulted in a four-fold increase in profitability," said Rick Forsythe, chairman and president, Forsythe Technology. "The company continues to succeed because we listen to our customers, anticipate their needs and deliver what we promise--a level of service we call the `A' package."
Forsythe's impressive growth over the past five years is the latest installment in its 30-year success story of profitability and growth. Its largest subsidiary, Forsythe Solutions Group, continued to demonstrate its industry leadership, expanding its services model into all aspects of the IT infrastructure life cycle: assessment, design, integration and management. Notable achievements included significant development of its consulting group; major growth in the storage solutions area - particularly EMC enterprise and Brocade SAN solutions; recognition as a Cisco Systems Partner-Gold Certified, an IBM Premier Business Partner and Hewlett-Packard's Master Level, Best-in-Class Mid-Tier Systems Integrator; and a 100 percent sales volume increase under its National Systems Provider arrangement with Sun Microsystems Inc.
In additional support of its ongoing evolution, in late 2000 Forsythe introduced Forsythe Storage Solutions, which is focused on the rapidly growing storage management marketplace. In January 2000, Nuclio Corp., Forsythe's management service provider (MSP) subsidiary, was introduced.
In its first year, Nuclio quadrupled its customer base to 42 companies, most of them among the 2,000 largest corporations globally, and was formally recognized by leading analyst groups Gartner and META as one of the nation's leading MSPs. Nuclio's revenues surged more than 500 percent last year, bringing its recurring monthly service revenues to $1 million.
Forsythe Technology's U.S. workforce climbed 43 percent in 2000 to 562 employees.
