PrintDo entrepreneurs and small businesses really drive the US economy? There are studies that say yes, and no. Data can be manipulated. But one thing is certain: Owning a business demands passion and commitment. That commitment is what moves our economy forward.
The Sales Rescue Team (SRT) has been one of those small passionate ventures. It is a pay-it-forward lab that I run through my day job at Q4 Sales and one that I’m excited about. It has employed two part time contractors intermittently and served as a way to help others with their business challenges. We’ve recently morphed the effort to include free private reviews as well as public reviews. The public reviews are now focused on the hot innovators, the startups that are gaining traction quickly. Companies we see doing it right that can inspire the rest of us, myself included.
Our first review in this new SRT model is about CakeVase(R). Kathleen Meisinger has invented a fun, easy way to decorate a cake. It is a simple, yet quite elegant way, to make your cake look as if a professional decorated it. Foodies and busy moms will love this device. Cakes are almost always a hot seller, even in this economy, and what we like about Kathleen's idea is she makes it fast and affordable for do-it-yourself types to create something beautiful.
