Software Entrepreneur Considers Buying Raleigh, N.C., Golf Course.

Aug. 13--A wealthy software entrepreneur with a passion for golf has emerged as Raleigh Country Club's best hope for getting out of bankruptcy.

John McConnell, who plays the Raleigh golf course and runs A4 Health Systems in Cary, has tentatively agreed with the club's board of directors to fund operations and pay off creditors in return for ownership of the 55-year-old facility.

Details of the deal are still being worked out and must be approved by the club's approximatel
