Reactions Differ as Comcast Drops Takeover Bid for Disney.

Apr. 29--Gene Hawk was a big fan of Michael Eisner for the first half of the Walt Disney Co. chief executive's 20-year reign. But his enthusiasm for Eisner dimmed significantly during the past decade as Disney's theme parks, in his view, became a bit frayed around the edges.

So Hawk, a Walt Disney World retiree, was disappointed Wednesday when Comcast Corp. dropped its Disney takeover bid. Comcast, he said, had seemed intent on returning Disney and its theme
