Apr. 11--It's not just pizza and hamburgers anymore. Today, franchising can be used for all types of businesses -- and it is.

"A new franchise opens every eight minutes" somewhere in the world, said Rick Robinson, board member for the International Franchise Association. "Franchises now cover more than 75 different industries."
