Ellison Exits as Oracle's Chairman, but Retains CEO Reins at Software Giant.

Jan. 14--As the joke goes, Larry Ellison may think he's God. But as of Monday he's no longer chairman of Oracle Corp.

The company's board of directors announced that the larger-than-life Ellison, subject of a book called "The Difference Between God and Larry Ellison (God Doesn't Think He's Larry Ellison)," will step down as chairman of the board. He will be replaced by longtime chief financial officer Jeff Henley.
