Plano, Texas, Parent of Indiana Hospital Defends Its Investment in Facility.

Oct. 15--Eight of the nine physicians who are members of an Indianapolis hospital's executive medical committee have resigned to protest what they say is a lack of capital investment by the owner, Plano-based Leland Medical Centers Inc.

The doctors at Winona Medical Center quit last week from the committee, which oversees clinical aspects of hospital operations. They currently have no intention to return to the posts, said Dr. Robert Mehl, chief of the hospital's medical staff and
