It's a Wonderful Death

Worried about leaving a legacy? Now it's easy.

More
We always wanted to make a difference in the world. Leave our mark, alter the course of history.

Instead, we're writing this blog. But it's not too late.

Turns out we can go on doing what we've been doing--knocking out a couple hundred words every other day, lying around the house and dodging chores--and then, at the very last minute, change lives for the better.

Or so says Science Care.

Science Care is a "whole-body donation program." Which means that when you keel over, Science Care will take your corpse and hand it over to medical people or educators for research, "giving everyone the chance to contribute to the health and well-being of future generations."

And saving your loved ones the cost of a funeral.

To help ease the "transition," Science Care will cart your remains from your place of death and even file a death certificate for you. When whoever is dissecting you gets done, Science Care will cremate you and return the ashes to your family. All for no charge.

Apparently there's a serious shortage of human tissue available for training and research. So your donation will be appreciated by medical students, scientists and generations to come.

Sounds good. Sign us up. It's the least we can do. No, really, the least.
