Asim Ghosh, Analjit Singh buy Kotak stake in Hutch Essar.

Mar. 2--MUMBAI, India -- Asim Ghosh, the managing director of Hutchison Essar (HEL), is now also a shareholder, according to industry sources familiar with the matter. The original promoter of Hutchison Max Telecom, Analjit Singh, and another entity called Telecom Investments India, on Wednesday, purchased an 8.33 percent stake held by Kotak Mahindra Bank in the mobile firm for Rs 1,019 crore.

Mr Ghosh's stake may be held through Telecom Investments India, but this could not be confirmed. Interestingly, Mr Singh's stake has been bought in his personal capacity as a priv
