Arthur Heuer, Kyocera professor of ceramics in the department of materials science and engineering with Case Western Reserve University, has been appointed university professor, the highest scholarly rank in the university. Heuer, a 1998 ASM Gold Medal recipient, was acknowledged for his pioneering studies in ceramics and contributions to education in ceramics.

The Forging Industry Association has appointed David J. Kostolansky, president, Schaefer Equipment, and Dennis Potter, president and COO, Impact Forge Incorporated, to its Board of Directors for four-year terms.
