The foundation of the Atlas Group was laid in 1962 with the establishment of Shirazi Investments (Pvt Limited with a capital of Rs.0.50 million and three men doing business in trading shares and real estate. Today Atlas is a diversified group dealing in engineering, financial services, trading, office equipment and information technology. It consists of seven public limited companies quoted on the stock exchanges in Pakistan and seven private limited companies. Atlas shareholder equity has grown from half a million to 2 billion rupees; assets have increased to over 8 billion rupees;
