Noveon's TPU boost: French compounder buy adds to product range. (US newslines).(Brief...

CLEVELAND, OHIO -- Noveon Inc. has announced the acquisition of "certain assets, technology and other intellectual property" of Gemoplast SA, an independent thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) compounder based in Frontonas, France. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"Acquiring the assets and compounding technology of Gemoplast will enable us to expand our TPU business and better serve customers by increasing our range of specialty products," said Julian Steinberg, vice president and general manager of Noveon's TPU business, in a 28 Oct press statement.
