UAE: Construction contract award for planned $68,000,000 district cooling plant, DRAKE & SCULL...

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

UK-based a DRAKE & SCULL INTERNATIONAL, a subsidiary of EMCOR DRAKE & SCULL GROUP PLC, was recently awarded a construction contract for a new district cooling plant. According to the terms of the award, DRAKE & SCULL will be responsible for the provision of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services.

The planned facility is intended for the Jumeirah Beach Residence complex in Dubai, UAE. The contract calls for the supply and installation of about 65,000 tons of cooling capacity. The cost to complete the project, in about 1
