NORTH AMERICA'S native nations once again have their own broker-dealer firm.

Red-Horse Securities, which concentrates on providing financial services to Native American tribal entities, commenced operations in August.

The firm is the first investment bank controlled and largely staffed by Native Americans; 10 percent of the employees are drawn from that cultural group and an active recruiting drive to boost that percentage is already underway.
