Qtel and ATCO set to acquire 75 percent stake in Burraq Telecom of Pakistan.(SAUDI ARABIA)

A.A. Turki Corporation for Trading and Contracting of Saudi Arabia (ATCO) and Qatar Telecom (Qtel) Q.S.C. declared that their joint venture investment of 75 percent stake in Burraq Telecom Limited of Pakistan (Burraq) is complete. The Qtel/ATCO investment is part of the companies' strategy to develop and operate BWA services, including WiMAX, in the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia. Qtel holds a 51 percent stake in the joint venture.
