WCI Steel reorganization plan now filed.(NewsWatch)(Brief Article)

WCI Steel Inc. presented its Chapter 11 reorganization plan in April, having already reached a new labor agreement with the United Steelworker union. Members of the local union had not ratified the contract, at press time.

Warren, OH-based WCI declared bankruptcy last fall.

The company's independent directors have already approved the reorganization plan, which would allow the Warren, OH, steelmaker to emerge from bankruptcy if it is approved by the court. Creditors and other stakeholders must also approve the plan, according to W
