Oklahoma City woman wins 1996 Eagle Vision from Dollar Rent A Car, Chrysler Corporation.

TULSA, Okla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 15, 1995--The mother of a teen severely injured in an auto accident three years ago says the first trip she will take in her new 1996 Eagle Vision TSi will be to Las Vegas in February for her daughter's 21st birthday.

"We had planned to fly, but now we are

definitely driving," said Shirley Flynn, grand prize winner of the Eagle Vision Test Drive Sweepstakes sponsored this summer by Dollar Rent A Car in conjunction with the Eagle Division of the Chrysler Corporation, manufacturer of the new sports sedan valued at $25,000.

"I told her when she turned 21 I would take her to Vegas," explained Flynn, whose daughter Vanessa, 20, still is in rehabilitation to improve speech and motor skills, although she is back in school and doing well. "I can't wait to drive across country."

Flynn said she entered the sweepstakes 25 times, although she only test drove the Eagle Vision once in Oklahoma City. She says she either will select a white or red Eagle Vision, probably with a sunroof and leather interior.

The 1996 Eagle Vision TSi is equipped with a high-tech autostick transmission that can be driven as a conventional automatic or as a clutchless manual; power seats and windows; dual airbags; keyless remote; speed sensitive steering; traction control; four-wheel antilock disk brakes; full independent touring suspension; chrome-aluminum alloy wheels; and a 3.5 liter, 6 cylinder, 214 horse powered engine.

The Eagle Test Drive campaign was the first major joint- venture between Dollar Rent A Car and its parent company.

"We approved the idea because Dollar was making a huge effort to put its customers first and really reward them for renting with Dollar," said Mike Meinert, marketing executive for Jeep-Eagle. "We would like to do more programs of this nature with Dollar to help expose Chrysler's new products to a large audience."

"I absolutely love how the Eagle Vision drives, how it looks -- and the price is great, too," said Flynn, 41, an Oklahoma native who has been married for 23 years to Tim, a Sysco Foods employee. They have two daughters, Vanessa and Angela, 15. "I've never won anything like this in my life, although believe me, I've tried."

Other prizes awarded during the Eagle Vision Test Drive Sweepstakes include week-long rentals from Dollar Rent A Car for eight first place winners and weekend rentals for 20 second place winners.
