GREENWICH, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 21, 1995--United Waste Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: UWST) announced today that is has completed the acquisition of Partyka Resource Management Inc., an integrated solid waste collection and disposal company with operations in
central Massachusetts.Partyka, which has annualized revenues of approximately $21 million, owns a landfill and collection company in Granby, MA, and a landfill in Chicopee, MA.

Partyka significantly expands our operations in the Massachusetts and upstate New York region, enables us to internalize more waste into our expanded landfill network, and provides improved services to our customer base."
United Waste also announced the acquisition of P&D Waste Service, a solid waste collection company in Pattersonville, New York; Twin Ports Environmental Inc., a solid waste collection company and transfer station in Duluth, Minnesota; and Lake Sanitation Inc., a solid waste collection company in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. P&D and Twin Ports each have annualized revenues of approximately $1 million and will be tucked into United Waste's operations in Albany and Duluth, respectively. Lake Sanitation has approximately $1.6 million in annualized revenues and will be tucked into United Waste's collection operations in the Twin Cities.
United Waste Systems is an integrated solid waste management company, and currently owns or operates 20 nonhazardous landfills, 25 waste collection companies and 33 transfer stations. Since the beginning of 1995, United Waste has completed 37 acquisitions with combined annualized revenues of approximately $135 million.
