NAWBO NAMES AT&T 1995 CORPORATE PARTNER OF THE YEAR.

WASHINGTON, D.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 18, 1995--The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) named AT&T the recipient of its 1995 Corporate Partner of the Year Award. The award is given each year to the company or organization which helps strengthen and enhance NAWBO's place in the

business community and demonstrates its commitment to foster the growth and stability of women-owned businesses on a national level.

The announcement was made at NAWBO's annual meeting in Denver, Colorado on Saturday, July 15. Margaret Smith, the newly installed president of the association, presented the award at the closing banquet. Smith stated that, "AT&T's relationship with NAWBO and its foundation epitomizes the concept of partnership." She characterized AT&T as "a true voice for women business owners."

Richard Falcone, vice president of sales for AT&T's small business markets division accepted the award on AT&T's behalf. "AT&T is proud of the long-standing relationship we've had with NAWBO and with women-owned businesses across the country," Falcone said. "Women business owners have established themselves as a major economic force in the United States and we're honored to be recognized by this dynamic group."
