QUEBEC, QUEBEC--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MAY 3, 1995--ADS ASSOCIATES LTD. (ME: AAL) Mr. Paul Drouin, President and Chief Executive Officer of ADS Associes ltee, announces the Company's recent purchase of a 78,000 square foot plant in Thetford Mines through its subsidiary, Fibre de Verre GSB Ltee.

>The project, which includes the acquisition cost of the land and building, provides for a nearly $8 million investment over the next two year. The new plant, which will be in operation next August, will have two production lines within two year.

Mr. Drouin pointed out this investment will allow ADS to ensure significant growth in its major contract activities with world-class companies, including the contract recently announced with the multinational Bombardier. These new infrastructures give the Company all the necessary latitude to respond adequately to other large-scale projects in preparation.

Mr. Drouin added that the ADS composite sector is booming and that the opening of the new plant adequately meets the demands of this growing market. The Company plans to create over 160 direct jobs in the Thetford mines region in the next two year.

ADS Associes ltee is a holding company mainly involved in manufacturing through subsidiaries which manufacture technical textiles and composite materials.
