BOULDER, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 5, 2000

Tantia Technologies today announced the appointment of John A. Boose to the company's advisory board.

Mr. Boose is president of Strategic Leadership Group, which specializes in consulting

in the areas of strategic business planning, marketing strategies and business partnerships. He is also a full-time faculty member at the Kenneth Monfort College of Business at the University of Northern Colorado where he serves as the Robert G. Tointon Distinguished Professor of Technology Management and teaches courses in Strategic Management, Marketing and Production Management.

Mr. Boose worked for Hewlett-Packard Company for nearly 25 years, including 12 years in Hewlett-Packard's storage group, where he served as the General Manager of the Greeley Storage Division in Colorado and the Computer Peripherals Bristol in the U.K. He was also President of Colorado Memory Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hewlett-Packard.

In the consulting role, Mr. Boose has worked with a variety of high-technology manufacturing companies, including Sony Corporation, Storage Technology Corporation, Bull Information Systems, Beta Systems Software (Tantia's parent company), Remote Switch Systems, Long Sales, Intercom Computer Systems, Benchmark Tape Systems and others. Mr. Boose also serves on several other corporate and advisory boards.

Mr. Boose is a 1967 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy where he received a B.S. in Mathematics and Engineering. He spent nearly six years in the Air Force as a pilot and aerospace engineer. Mr. Boose also holds an M.S. degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and an Executive M.B.A. from Stanford University.
