"We sought out a partnership with NAWBO, a top-notch professional organization for women entrepreneurs, to grow Wyndham's 'Women on Their Way' program in an additional, meaningful way," said Ms. Broussard. "We are delighted to offer NAWBO members special rates, and look forward to welcoming many of the group's 10,000 members to our Wyndham properties."
In 1995, Wyndham launched its ongoing "Women on Their Way" program to demonstrate the company's commitment to better serving the needs of women business travelers. The program has included the first national contest honoring frequent women business travelers and the formation of Wyndham's Women Business Travelers Advisory Board. The purpose of this advisory board is to review current Wyndham services and amenities, and suggest improvements that will appeal to women business travelers. A national NAWBO representative also sits on Wyndham's advisory board.
"We are extremely pleased to have Wyndham as a national premier corporate partner, a travel company which is so attuned to the needs of female business travelers," said Whitney Johns Martin, national president of NAWBO. "This program fulfills our membership's need for a partnership with a hotel company of the highest caliber, and is made available to nearly 80 chapters across the country."
NAWBO is the 25-year old, chapter-based, non-profit organization which represents women business owners across the country. According to NFWBO, there are 9.1 million women-owned businesses in the U.S., representing 38% of all businesses and employing 27.5 million employees.
