Cavalier Sets Annual Meeting Date.

ADDISON, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 27, 2000

The Board of Directors of Cavalier Homes, Inc. (NYSE:CAV) today announced that it has set May 16, 2000, as the date for the Annual Meeting of Shareholders. The meeting will be held at 10:00 A.M. (Central Time) at

the Summit Club in Birmingham, Alabama. Shareholders of record at the close of business on March 17, 2000, will be entitled to vote at the Annual Meeting.

Cavalier Homes, Inc. designs and manufactures a wide range of manufactured homes and markets its homes in approximately 30 states through more than 1,000 non-exclusive independent dealers and 290 exclusive dealer locations. Cavalier also makes financing and insurance products available to qualifying customers of its exclusive dealers.
