ViaLogy Corp. announced today the appointment of Douglas C. Lane as Chief Executive Officer and Director of the company.
Lane's executive management and corporate development experience
Lane's experience base in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry includes corporate development positions at the former SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals Research and Development and SmithKline Beecham Clinical Laboratories. He was Vice President of Corporate Development for Hyseq, Inc. (Nasdaq:HYSQ) and Vice President at CaP CURE, working with Michael Milken to advance genetic and genomic understanding of prostate cancer. Additionally, Lane was President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director of Strata Biosciences, a functional genomics company that was based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Lane holds a B.A. in Psychology, B.S. in Microbiology and Biochemistry, and an M.B.A. in Finance.
