Jack Sweeney Appointed CEO of Network Intelligence; Matt Stevens Named Executive Vice President...

WESTWOOD, Mass. -- Network Intelligence(TM) Corp., the leader in appliance-based security event management (SEM), today announced the appointment of Jack Sweeney as Chief Executive Officer. This appointment will well-position Network Intelligence for its next evolution, aligning its organizational

structure to better implement aggressive business, sales, and product strategies aimed at continuing the company's leadership in the SEM market.

Mr. Sweeney is an accomplished technology industry executive who brings more than 20 years of experience managing capital investments and operations in the IT security market. He most recently served as CEO at Stargus, a network and service analysis company that develops solutions for broadband cable networks. Mr. Sweeney led Stargus as CEO before managing a successful acquisition by C-Cor.

Prior to Stargus, Mr. Sweeney was a general partner with Prism Venture Partners where he made significant investments in the data protection and data monitoring markets in early stage companies such as GeoTrust, Ingrian Networks, and Silverback. Before Prism, Mr. Sweeney was the CEO of EPiCON, where he guided the company's strategic business development and its $450 million acquisition by Nortel Networks. Mr. Sweeney has also served as the CEO of Bell Atlantic Network Integration (BANI), growing the business from a regional networking services group into a $330 million organization worldwide.
