How new taxes will effect your business and ultimately the US market and economy.

We have lost the backbone to be responsible for ourselves and make our own way; we are becoming a society of victim mentality and whiners that are looking to government to "take care of them” and to "fix their mistakes".

- Big topic and one that is certainly more relevant right now than ever. I've watched the debates and listened to the hype for the past few months like everyone else. Frankly I'm afraid... I'm afraid for my business and I'm  afraid kids and I'm afraid for America in general. We have lost the backbone to be responsible for ourselves and make our own way; we are becoming a society of victim mentality and whiners that are looking to government to "take care of them” and to "fix their mistakes". As a small business owner you know the hard work and sacrifices that went into building your business and that every day you continue to give to build something bigger than yourself alone and make a difference in your community - no matter how big or small your business is YOU are the backbone of the economy and without you the economic future of this country is going to suffer greatly. Now, taxes- as a small business owners who employees people, owns property, buys goods and services, donates to charities, add value to solutions and generally grows his business 25% of more year - it is very simple. IF I am made to pay more taxes I cannot do as much of these things... And neither can you. If taxes are less then I (and you) can do more of these things. "These things" are what make the economy move and keep people employed and add tax revenue from purchases etc-etc-etc.
I like you have listened to the double talk of the candidates and have no idea what most of them are saying- and I'm not real sure they do either. To me it is simple; keep the govt out of my pocket and I will spend, employ, give, save more- if they get in my pocket more I can't.
Small business owners are the most resilient people I know. We will continue to be successful no matter what happens- but with less govt interference we can do more and do it faster.
Just my opinion from 20 years of business.
