DIMEDIX, the CME division of Phoenix Group Holdings, has promoted George Mammen,M.D.,to senior vice president and general manager, a new position. Mammen joined the firm in 2003 as vice president, strategic planning and development, with responsibility for setting up the CME division.
Mammen becomes senior vice president, general manager.
Mammen is a noted Australian pharmacologist, and formerly served as chief operating officer of the Prince of Wales Medical Research Institute in Sydney. He reports toTracy Doyle,Phoenix's president and chief executive.
In addition, DiMedix has hired Matthew Frese as a CME alliance manager. Frese previously directed CME projects at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark. In his new role, he will form partnerships with academic groups and associations.
Based in Warren,N.J., DiMedix has a client roster that includes Aventis, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Sanofi-Synthelabo.
