Two York, Pa.-Area Hospitals Discuss Possible Merger.

Jul. 24--Hanover Hospital and WellSpan Health took another step as they continue to explore the possibility of merging.

In May, the boards of directors approved a memorandum of understanding, in their separate meetings, that permits the sharing of financial, personnel and operational information, said Barry Sparks, York Hospital spokesman.

Without the memorandum, they cannot share that information, Sparks said.
