Yuasa-Japan Storage Battery Merger Won't Hit Yuasa's Berks County, Pa., Plant.

Jul. 15--The merger of Yuasa Corp. and Japan Storage Battery Co., both based in Japan, should not have an impact on Yuasa's operations in Berks County, according to the top official in Yuasa's U.S. battery operations.

P. Michael Ehlerman, chairman and chief executive of Yuasa Battery Inc., Bern Township, said Monday he anticipates the merger will have no negative impact in Berks County, where Yuasa has manufacturing operations.
