Berks County, Pa., Commissioners Get $177,000 Offer for Rail Line.

Jun. 18--Only one person came forward Monday with an offer to buy the Colebrookdale Spur rail line from Berks County.

Penn Eastern Lines Inc., Langhorne, bid $177,000.

Commissioners Mark C. Scott, Judith L. Schwank and Timothy A. Reiver could approve the sale of the 8.5-mile line as early as Thursday.

Penn Eastern had been operating the line for the county, with Drug Plastics & Glass Co. Inc., Boyertown, as its sole customer.
