Textron Consolidates Services, Reports Lower Revenues, Costs.

Apr. 24--PROVIDENCE, R.I.--Textron Inc. is now in the third year of "one of the toughest industrial markets this company has ever faced," trying to cut costs in the wake of falling revenues, while sticking with strategies to strengthen its many holdings, Lewis B. Campbell, chairman, president and chief executive officer, said yesterday morning.

During Textron's annual meeting, he reviewed the company's performance last year and its prospects for this year.
