Feb. 11--STOCK SHOULD HAVE BEEN TAKEN: Thinking more on the bloodstock feud between Sir Alex Ferguson and the Irish Murphia, it occurs to me that, whatever was or wasn't promised to him, Ferguson should have questioned former members of the Coolmore racing syndicate before joining it. He might have asked why Robert Sangster, one of the early visionaries behind the all-conquering Coolmore, is no longer part of it? And what happened to the horse-sharing relationship with Greek billionaire Stavros Niarchos?
