Contract of China-Israel Qinghai Potash Fertilizer Co., Ltd. Signed.

The contract of the second phase Qinghai potash fertilizer project jointly constructed by China and Israel was signed in Beijing on November 25. It indicates that the development ability of potash fertilizer has been greatly enhanced in China. The construction of the project will ease the reliance on import and promote the technical level of China' s potash fertilizer industry.

The Chaerhan Lake in Qinghai is the biggest leonite mine in China with potash reserves accounting for over 97% of the national total. Qinghai Potash Fertilizer Plant approved by the state in 1978
