Independent supplier Screen Media Films has renewed its distribution agreement with Universal Studios Home Video, handling one title per month for 18 months.
The deal, which gives Universal first-look rights, started Jan. 1 and ends July 1, 2005, said Robert Baruc, president of Screen Media.
A previous agreement with Universal expired Dec. 31, 2003. It had been in effect roughly 16 months, Baruc said, adding that Universal has "one of the best video sales forces out there."
"It's been a great combination of our high-profile, direct-to-video titles
