Over 3,000 new jobs can be established in the Negev area through the Shinar initiative in the coming years, said a group of international businessmen at the end of an intensive three-day conference designed to launch a model program for the economical absorption of 8,000 newcomers living in the region.
Two Israeli businessmen already working in the region challenged one another to develop 1,100 new jobs, and urged the other participants to follow suit.
