In a history-making agreement, Monster.com, the
Monster.com will provide the Salt Lake Organizing Committee (SLOC) with online career management services for permanent employees and volunteers, and online talent auction services as part of the sponsorship with the Olympic Properties of the United States, (OPUS) - the joint marketing venture between SLOC and the United States Olympic Committee (USOC).
Those seeking volunteer or full-time positions for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games will be able to access information about positions and submit resumes through links between Monster.com (www.monster.com) and the SLOC website (www.slc2002.org). SLOC will be recruiting 26,000 volunteers beginning in March 2000, and will expand its full-time staff to about 750 employees by Games time. Monster.com will provide the resources to streamline the application and review process for both applicants and SLOC.
