The Foundation provides scholarships to eligible students currently attending Datatel client institutions. The Foundation has awarded more than $3 million in grants and scholarships since its establishment. The Foundation's grant program also gives up to ten $2,500 grants each year to help client institutions promote distributed learning programs.
"We are proud to make a difference throughout the higher education community through the Datatel Scholars Foundation," said H. Russell Griffith, Datatel president and CEO. "The collaborative efforts and donations of our employees, client institutions and the local community have helped make this program a great success for everyone involved."
The Datatel Scholars Foundation administers the program in cooperation with Datatel's client institutions. The Foundation is tax-exempt, and supported by an annual grant from Datatel, gifts from corporate friends, and contributions from Datatel employees. Datatel assumes all administrative costs, so every dollar raised goes to help a student scholar.
