ORLANDO, Fla. -- Florida's leading venture capitalists, private investors, and financiers are preparing for this year's eighth annual Innovation Florida 2004: Early Stage Capital Conference, presented by the University of Central Florida Technology Incubator (UCFTI) and the Central Florida Innovation

Innovation Florida 2004 showcases the state's hottest private technology companies, providing a forum for attendees to learn more about their early-stage investment opportunities. The companies selected this year represent a group of 13 elite finalists throughout the state, screened by a regional selection committee consisting of highly respected business development and investment experts.

Additionally, Innovation Florida 2004 will feature a Keynote Address by Guy Kawasaki, Managing Director and Chairman of Silicon Valley-based Garage Technology Ventures. Kawasaki is also an author, having written seven books including Rules for Revolutionaries, which will be the highlight of his presentation. Kawasaki will explain the rules that make new products and services successful.

Attendees should also expect to hear details about the Southeast's improving Venture Capital potential, from the area's leading venture capital representatives. In addition, accredited private investors "angels," will share their insight on the best techniques used to attract investors to early-stage technology companies.
