TUSTIN, Calif. -- Tech Coast Venture Network will kick off its 2006 Forum Program on Jan. 26 at 6 p.m. at the Costa Mesa Hilton Hotel with a presentation by renowned author Robert W. Price of the Global Entrepreneurship Institute, who will offer a roadmap of fundraising sources and tips on how
According to Bart Greenberg, TCVN chairman, "Subsequent events will piggyback off this program and drill down on certain fundraising sources to be introduced by Mr. Price." In addition, Greenberg plans to announce the launch of a new TCVN program specifically designed for "unaffiliated" angel investors. "We believe there is a very large, untapped source of funding for early-stage deals, and that many people would like to help fund early-technology companies but simply do not have the time or resources to join formal Angel groups. We can help these people meet entrepreneurs and better understand the process of investing in early opportunities," Greenberg said.
Price is a senior research fellow at the Global Entrepreneurship Institute. Currently working on his 11th book, he is world-renowned as an expert in the field of entrepreneurial capitalism and early-stage information technology companies. Following his exclusive Roadmap, his clients' business plans have raised nearly $24 million from angel investors, venture capitalists, and strategic capital partners like IBM, Compaq, Oracle, and Tech Coast Angels. Founded in 1999, the Global Entrepreneurship Institute is a non-profit educational organization that pursues a vision of accelerating high technology and entrepreneurship globally.
The TCVN Forum is being sponsored by Momentum Venture Management LLC and moderated by Matt Ridenour, MVM managing director. Momentum helps early-stage companies break out of "the entrepreneur's dilemma" by bringing credibility, experience and skills to rapidly accelerate progress and position companies for ongoing success in their business including key fundraising endeavors.
