Draw the Map

You're better off drawing the map, planning the course, even though you know it will change. Right? Isn't that true with business planning as well?

Because it will change. You know that. All business plans are wrong, and yet vital.

I write this because it's important to understand where the planning fits into the management. It's not only valuable if it's an accurate prediction of the future. It's valuable because it leaves tracks and markers you can follow, so you know what changed.
