Yep, I know. You hear all the time that you should back up your company computers. But you just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Here's a simple story. Last night I was doing some checking on my websites to make sure everything was still working the way it was supposed to be and I discovered that the Small Business Blog Directory was having some problems. During my research I found the problem in one of the files that directs users to the correct pages of the site. And I decided to fix it. Big mistake. All I did was break it worse. After panicking for a nano second, I hopped onto my back up system and restored the file to a previous version. Presto! All fixed.

I hate to think of what the situation would have entailed if I didn't have a back up. That was just one website. What if it was your main company computer? Or all your company computers? It happens.
