Fortune 500 firms simply love India.

Jul. 7--NEW DELHI -- As much as 50 percent of Fortune 500 companies are clients of Indian IT companies and over 200 of these500 companies are currently outsourcing their service and support services to India.

And it is just not IT. Big global companies are setting up R&D, software development and engineering centres that cater to their global operations.

They are also using India as a test market for clinical trials and developing products for the global market. These are the findings of a study on Fortune500 companies in India, conducted by KPMG and the Indi
