Mar. 12--Montgomery's public schools will have a new tool this week to help keep students and faculty safe during an emergency.

The school district is implementing software that will allow the central office to contact every school immediately in case of severe weather or other emergency.

The software, e/pop Alert, allows a user to contact thousands of people instantly via e-mail.
