Veney's forte is the development of strong performance based organizations, delivered by engraining an enterprise-wide Process and Project Focus results-oriented organization. He has a long history of driving change through organization, process, project, and technology performance optimization through his "IT Effectiveness and Consistency" optimization concepts. He is adept at project crises management trouble-shooting, problem-solving, and negotiating. Offering a rare blend of creative and operational strengths, Veney has achieved exciting IT Department and Project turnarounds, and is recognized for his success in growing successful engineering and consulting services practices with top-tier companies.

Prior to BluWater, Veney served as the vice president of telecommunications for an Atlanta-based division of American Systems Corporation. He was responsible for expanding the organization's service offerings and market position in the telecommunications vertical. Veney has also previously served in various leadership roles with BearingPoint, Alltel Information Services and Fujitsu Consulting.

Veney earned a bachelor's degree of science and technology from Trinity University, and also earned a certification in business management from the American Management Association through Kennesaw State University, and a diploma in computer science and technology from Control Data Institute. Veney is a CMMI SCAMPI Appraisal Team Member as well as a Certified PMP by the Neal Whitten Group.
