Thermal Flex Inc. has opened a 75,000-sq.-ft. factory in Mexico and is closing one of two facilities in Cerritos, Calif., as part of a two-year program aimed at trimming costs and keeping its pricing stable.

The silicone hose and ducting producer is moving most of its manufacturing equipment-including extrusion lines, ovens and custom-designed wrapping machines-to the new site in Tijuana, Mexico, according to Tim Coory, president and co-owner of the company.
